Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith suffered one of the most gruesome injuries we’ve ever seen Sunday against the Houston Texans.
Smith broke his fibula and tibia when the pocket collapsed under pressure. I’m going to go ahead and warn you all that the video might make you sick. You can watch it below, but prepare yourself.

Obviously, he’s been ruled out for the rest of the season.

I was sitting up in a box as this all unfolded, and at first nobody really seemed to be that nervous. We’ve all seen players take hits. It’s nothing to panic about.
However, the tone quickly changed when the cart was brought out and the televisions weren’t showing the replays. Generally speaking, if they won’t show replays, it’s a sign something is really bad. (RELATED: Here Are The Highlights Of Week 10 In The NFL)
Sure enough, Smith’s leg was absolutely destroyed.

Prayers out to his entire family. That’s the kind of injury you may never come back from. I hope like hell I’m wrong because Smith is one hell of a good dude, and I wouldn’t ever want him to go out like this.
Let’s all hope he’s back on the field sooner than later.
