Reese Witherspoon Gives Update On Potential ‘Legally Blonde 3’

Actress Reese Witherspoon updated fans about the likelihood of seeing a third reprise of “Legally Blonde.”

The “Pretty Little Lies” actress appeared Monday on “The Ellen Show” where she opened up about recreating her iconic role of Elle Woods, according to a report published by Entertainment Tonight.

Witherspoon confirmed a “Legally Blonde 3” was in the works last June on her Instagram. The star posted a short clip reminiscent of the admissions scene from the original movie with the caption, “It’s true… #LegallyBlonde3.”

“We’re meeting about it. I mean, we’re definitely talking about it. I don’t know. Do you guys want to see ‘Legally Blonde 3?'” Witherspoon asked the audience. “I mean it’s sort of about women being underestimated and I think it’s a good idea. Witherspoon revealed the newest movie is slated to be released Valentine’s Day 2020. Until then, she said the plans for the movie have been exciting.

“Oh, it’s gonna be so fun!” Witherspoon told ET. “I got to go to a meeting the other day where we talked about all the new plot points and all the characters and some returning characters and some new characters. I mean, I got so excited just in the meeting. I was like, ‘This is gonna be good.'”
