The Miami Dolphins want to do what they can to draft quarterback Joe Burrow.

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins want to find a way to trade up and take the LSU Heisman winner. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

In order to do that, they’d have to swap picks with the Bengals, who hold the first overall selection.

While I like Burrow as a quarterback and I think he has a bright future, he’s not worth selling the whole farm over.

The reality of the situation is simple. The Dolphins could still take a run at Tua Tagovailoa in the draft this year, or they could tank in an attempt to get Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields in 2021.

Doing either of those things wouldn’t require trading away massive assets. Burrow is a solid player. He’s a damn good quarterback, but is he worth risking the future of your franchise over?

I’d argue that he’s absolutely not, especially when there are other options on the table that could come at a much cheaper price.

It’s also worth noting that this doesn’t really matter much because the odds of the Bengals trading out of the top spot aren’t high at all.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens, but I’m pretty confident Burrow will be playing for Cincy in 2020.
