Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves got trolled while reading the list of graduates at a virtual ceremony when he read the name “Harry Azcrac.”

It all went down after the governor had asked people to submit names of seniors graduating from high schools that he would then read out loud during a webcast in a way to honor those graduates who would be missing out on a traditional graduation ceremony due to the pandemic, per Boston.com in a piece published Wednesday.

And it was then during the live Facebook session that Reeves was reading the names of graduates from Florence High School, his alma mater, when he read “Harry Azcrac.”(SLIDESHOW: 142 Times Josephine Skriver Barely Wore Anything)

Reeves’ spokesperson, Renae Eze, said the staff spent hours going through thousands of names from the schools and believes it’s safe to say that “Harry Azcrac” is “not a real person.”

The clip has since made the rounds on social media and Reeves appears to be taking it in stride, cracking a joke himself about the whole incident.

“Harry’s submitter has a bright future as a Simpson’s writer!” the governor tweeted, while noting that he would be reading more names. “Maybe even Ben — the pride of the Dover family.”

As the governor noted, the classic animated show “The Simpsons” have had a running joke throughout its time on the air of doing similar type crank calls.
