A highly competitive fundraising environment has emerged ahead of the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections. The races could be two of the most expensive elections in U.S. history and will decide which party controls the Senate.

Recent Federal Elections Commission filings show that Democratic challengers Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff each raised more than $100 million in the final quarter of 2020. The quarterly totals are the highest ever reported and notably larger than the $64 million and $68 million raised by incumbent Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue respectively, according to Axios.
