Former NFL star Vincent Jackson has died.
According to multiple reports, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida is investigating his death after he was found deceased Monday in a hotel. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

BREAKING, and it’s awful: The Hillsborough Sherriff’s office is investigating the death of former Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson at a Tampa-area hotel room, a source confirms.

Jackson was reported missing by his family last week, but was found checked into a hotel in Brandon on Feb. 11. HSCO knew he was there and talked with him last week. He was found dead this morning in his room. An investigation is ongoing to figure out how he died.

According to hotel staff, Jackson, who is a South Tampa resident, checked into the hotel on January 11, & had been staying in a room since that date.
On February 10, HCSO spoke with Jackson’s family members who called to report that he was missing.

This is just incredibly tragic, and there’s not really much else that can be said. Vincent Jackson was a standout receiver for several years with the Chargers and Buccaneers.
During his prime, he was one of the best receivers in the league.

Now, at the age of 38, it’s all over, and we don’t really seem to know why. Given the police investigation, it would seem like this is a serious situation.
Star athletes aren’t supposed to be dying so young. They’re in great shape and should be preparing for life after football.
