While the right-wing QAnon conspiracy theory now appears dead in the water, the left has been busy creating their own network of nutty theories, dubbed “Blue Anon” by conservatives.

Blue Anon is a term coined by right-wing figures online to describe a number of conspiracy theories that have gained ground in left-wing circles since — and even before — President Joe Biden took office. Chief among these conspiracies are Russia’s alleged involvement in the procurement of Hunter Biden’s now-infamous laptop and the necessity of keeping thousands of National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C. for months after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot with no credible follow-up threat to the Capitol.
