One person was killed and at least four others were injured early Friday morning following an attempted robbery in the Hollywood Hills, according to NBC.

Around 2 a.m. three men in their twenties attempted to rob three others at the 1400 block of Blue Jay Way in Hollywood, Officer Jeff Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC.

The victims were leaving a house in the area when the robbers approached and attempted to mug them, according to NBC.

“It appeared some kind of event was happening at the property where the group was,” Lee said.

All three victims were shot and one returned fire, wounding two of the robbers. The gunmen fled the scene via car, NBC reported.

Police pulled the suspects over moments later in Beverly Hills, with the two wounded men inside. One of the men was pronounced dead, Lee said, and the other is in critical condition.

The unharmed suspect was taken into custody, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The three victims were transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries. The man in his 60s who is believed to be a security guard is in critical condition, the Los Angeles Times added.

None of the suspects or victims have been identified at this time.

The multimillion-dollar home where the attempted robbery took place is reportedly owned by 39-year-old Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian, NBC reported. It is unclear whether Saghian was home at the time of the incident. (RELATED: REPORT: Woman Arrested In Alleged Burglary Attempt Of Johnny Depp’s Los Angeles Home)
