Elon Musk suddenly went silent on Twitter for over a week after tending to tweet several times on a daily basis.

Musk last tweeted on June 21, posting a photograph of a 7-Eleven gas station where both regular and diesel gasoline cost $7.11 a gallon.

That same day, he responded to CNBC Space reporter Michael Sheetz reporting that Musk’s company, SpaceX, urged the FCC to investigate whether Dish and Michael Dell-affiliate RS Access intentionally filed misleading reports over 12GHz broadband.

“Their attempt to bait and switch satellite spectrum for cellular spectrum is super shady and unethical,” Musk said. “If they are successful, it would hurt the least served and completely unserved of the world. Very messed up.” (RELATED: Elon Musk Says Twitter Deal ‘Cannot Move Forward’ Until CEO Proves One Thing)

He tweeted multiple times June 21 and prior to that day before going completely silent on the platform. The day of Musk’s last tweet marked when Twitter’s board unanimously recommended that shareholders approve his $43.4 billion offer to buy the social media platform. The Tesla CEO said the shareholders’ approval of the deal is one step forward to solving the several unresolved issues surrounding his purchase.

Musk became Twitter’s largest shareholder after purchasing 9.2% stake in the company. He later proposed the multi-billion dollar deal to Twitter’s board and completed the takeover April 25 after the board negotiated the deal for over a day.

The board initially attempted to prevent the offer by deploying the “poison pill” that allows shareholders to purchase additional shares at a discounted rate in order to prevent Musk from garnering a larger stake in the company. The board reconsidered after the tech billionaire secured $13 billion in through investment bank, Morgan Stanley, and $12.5 billion against his stake in Tesla to carry out the takeover.
