The five most popular senators are all Republicans, as are seven of the top ten, a poll released Monday found.

Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso, the third-ranking Republican in the upper chamber, is the most popular senator, sporting a 70% approval rating among constituents, a Morning Consult poll found. Fellow Wyoming Sen. Cynthia Lummis was second-most popular. Mike Rounds and John Thune, both of South Dakota, and John Hoeven of North Dakota rounded out the top five in the poll.

Morning Consult surveyed at least 519 registered voters in every state from April 1 to June 30, with a margin of error between one percent and five percent in each state. Overall, Morning Consult surveyed a combined 356,705 registered voters.

Similarly, eight of the ten least popular senators are Republicans, Morning Consult found. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was the least popular, sporting a 31% approval rating and a 62% disapproval rating. (RELATED: Joe Manchin’s Approval Rating Jumped The Most Of Any Senator In The Past Year)

Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy polled the highest of any Democrat, with a 56% approval rating and 31% disapproval rating.

A similar Morning Consult survey released in April found that Thune was the most popular senator, and McConnell the least popular.
