Officers from the 39th District responded to a 911 call regarding multiple gunshots that were reported in the area of 32nd and Allegheny Avenue around 9:33 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Blotter.

Police footage shows that four masked men dressed in all black exited a dark-colored, four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet with chrome rims.

The suspects fired approximately 54 shots down a driveway at the victim. Three of the assailants wielded semi-automatic pistols and a fourth used what police described as the “AK-47 Style Rifle.”

Police investigators recovered 54 pieces of “ballistic evidence” from the scene on the 3100 block of Natrona St.

The victim sustained eight gunshot wounds and was transported to Temple Hospital. He remains in critical condition at the time of the release on Thursday.

Weekly crime statistics from the PPD revealed that violent crimes are up 4.39 percent in the city and property crimes are up over 30 percent. (RELATED: News Anchor Clashes With Philly DA Over City’s Soaring Homicide Numbers)
