Famous actresses Jennifer Lawrence revealed Adele’s priceless career advice and described the night they stepped outside of their comfort zone and partied among the general public.

Lawrence spoke to The New York Times her highs and lows in the movie industry, namely her big dip between her box office hit “Hunger Games” and her big movie fail “Passengers.” Lawrence admitted that she should have listened to Adele’s advice at the time.

“Adele told me not to do it! She was like, ‘I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies,” Lawrence said.  “I should have listened to her.” The movie ended up being a total flop.

Lawrence was able to balance the scales by giving some advice to Adele, too. She convinced Adele to get on the other side of the velvet rope and party with the public.

Lawrence described being at the height of her career after the release of “Hunger Games,” when it was difficult for her to go out without bodyguards. She explained that her now-husband Cooke Maroney introduced her to the art of drinking at dive bars, where she could enjoy a night out without needing security, according to The New York Times.

This is the lesson she shared with Adele. Lawrence was having a drink at a New York City bar called Pieces when Adele called. Lawrence invited her to Pieces but Adele was reluctant to go anywhere that “people” might be.

It was then that Lawrence says she realized how odd it would be to experience New York City without being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of people all around her. She convinced Adele to join her for an unusual, non-VIP night on the other side of the velvet rope, according to The New York Times. In spite of being recognized by the people around them, nobody interfered with their evening and the ladies were able to let loose and enjoy themselves in a more natural setting. Lawrence said she and Adele engaged in some karaoke and Adele ended up playing drinking games on stage, according to The New York Times.

Lawrence said this was an experience she needs more of. “I don’t know how I can act,” she said, “when I feel cut off from normal human interaction,” she said.
