Florida Gators quarterback Jalen Kitna, son of former NFL star Jon Kitna, was arrested in Florida on Wednesday on child pornography charges, TMZ reported.
A representative from the Gainesville Police Department said Kitna was booked on a total of five different charges including two counts of distribution of child exploitation material as well as three counts of possession of child pornography, according to TMZ Sports. Nineteen-year-old Kitna was processed at roughly 3:20 p.m. EST and currently remains in police custody. No further details surrounding his arrest or upcoming court dates have been revealed.

Kitna has been indefinitely suspended from the team, according to TMZ.
Kitna appeared in four games for the University of Florida and logged his best performance to date during a game against EWU where he threw for 152 yards and a touchdown, according to TMZ Sports. Kitna’s father had a long and successful career in the NFL and played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks, according to TMZ Sports.
No further information has been released about Kitna’s case, or how police uncovered the sensitive content, TMZ reported.
