A man stole two double cheeseburgers and more than two dozen chicken nuggets from a McDonald’s in the Bronx on Dec. 5, Bronx Voice reported, citing the New York City Police Department (NYPD).
Police said the man threatened a cashier with a knife at 4:30 p.m., Bronx Voice reported. Surveillance footage from the McDonald’s on 101 East 170th Street depicts a man wearing a medical face mask and pursing a cigarette between his lips. He appears to get angry at the cashier and proceeds to jump over the counter and walk towards the food, the footage shows. As the McDonald’s employees approached the man, he revealed his knife and then stuffed food in his pockets, according to Bronx Voice. Police said he took a 6-piece McNuggets, two McDouble cheeseburgers and a 20-piece chicken set, the outlet reported.
The thief then jumped over the counter again and left the restaurant without hurting any employees or customers, according to Bronx Voice. He was last spotted wearing a red, white and blue doo rag, a gray winter coat, a Number 21 “Astros” baseball jersey and a face mask, Bronx Voice reported.
