Country music and sports dominated live event ticket sales in 2022, according to data released Thursday.

If anything united America in 2022, it was getting tickets to see Morgan Wallen and attend various sports events, according to one study conducted by TickPick. The study broke down the highest-demand events by state in 2022, with Wallen walking almost from coast-to-coast as a top favorite, followed by the likes of Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band and George Strait.

Other major live events included The Eagles, who were the top live performance in Alabama in 2022, according to the study. Comedians Bert Kreischer and Dave Chappelle also topped Alaska and Maryland, respectively. Bad Bunny, Adele, Aerosmith and Harry Styles also ranked by state throughout the year.

I have no idea what the heck is going on in Vermont, but the show with the highest demand was a guy named Jeff Dunham, who is apparently a ventriloquist. Clearly Vermont has its own thing going on, and the rest of the country should probably just leave them to it if they’re happy. I googled the guy and he was pretty fantastic, but better than Wallen? Not in my opinion, but I’m not from Vermont, so what do I know? (RELATED: Waffle House Names Morgan Wallen Its Top New Artist Of 2022)

Aside from music, comedians and one ventriloquist (my mind is really blown on that last one), live sporting events made it to the top of the list in most other states.
