Man Allegedly Robs Girl Scout Cookie Stand, Delivery Driver

Police arrested a man Friday for allegedly robbing a Girl Scout cookie stand and a delivery driver in Maryland.

Gerrard Luke Harrison, 24, allegedly robbed a Girl Scout troop selling cookies in front of a Safeway grocery store on Feb. 12, according to a news release from the Rockville City Police Department. Harrison is also accused of allegedly robbing a food delivery driver at gunpoint on Feb. 18.

“On February 12, 2023, Rockville City Police responded to a theft at the Safeway at 14939 Sady Grove Road for a report of a male subject stealing money from a Girl Scout Troop who were selling cookies out front of the store,” the news release read.

Harrison was allegedly lurking around the Girl Scout cookie stand for 15 to 20 minutes, according to Fox 5 DC. He then allegedly stole the cash box and ran off. (RELATED: Girl Scout Cookies Tied To Child Labor In Indonesia, Malaysia: Report)

Harrison “has been charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Firearm Possession – Prohibited Person, Use of a Handgun in connection with a Felony, 2nd Degree Assault, and Handgun on Person,” the released continued.
