Crowds blocked a northeast Atlanta roadway as they jumped and danced atop cars before dispersing as shots were allegedly fired early Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.

The scene occurred near Georgia State University and stopped traffic on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue at around 1:30 a.m., WSB-TV reported. Congregated vehicles also shut down an intersection between Memorial Drive and Capitol Avenue, according to the outlet.

A white car performed donuts at the intersection as members of the crowd roamed among unattended vehicles, WSB-TV reported. (RELATED: Officials Mistakenly Release Georgia Murder Suspect, Who Then Turns Himself In Months Later)

The Georgia State Patrol said a helicopter crew belonging to their aviation unit flew over the scene and witnessed a Dodge Charger partaking in stunts at the intersection. The Charger driver allegedly fired a shot upon exiting the vehicle and caused the crowd to suddenly disperse, WSB-TV reported.

“Last night, man, it was a movie. You just had to be here,” one witness told FOX 5 before saying similar incidents are “happening every other weekend man. Watch out.”

“I just saw like a bunch of people crowding a car,” another witness told the outlet before adding, “I saw somebody randomly jump on it and the car was dented. Bro must’ve been mad.”

A Georgia State Patrol spokesperson told FOX 5 that officers unsuccessfully attempted to pursue some vehicles from the crowd. The alleged suspects reportedly evaded arrest by turning off their headlights and driving at high speeds.

The Charger driver who allegedly fired the gunshot was arrested and is facing a slew of charges including reckless stunt driving, reckless conduct, firearm possession by a convicted felon and driving without insurance, the outlet reported. Nobody was injured by the alleged gunshot.
