Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan sparred with Democratic Virgin Island Rep. Stacey Plaskett on Thursday during the House Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was about to begin his opening statement at the hearing, for which he was allotted 10 minutes.

Plaskett asked Jordan why RFK Jr. was given double the normal time.

“I know that witnesses usually have 5 minutes. I see 10 minutes on the board. Is it going to be 10 minutes?” (RELATED: ‘Are You Making A Motion Or A Speech?’: Jim Jordan Cuts Off Dem Rep Who Starts Ranting During RFJ Jr. Hearing)

Jordan said he was “pretty lax” with opening speeches, saying he’d give 10 minutes on the board but the statement could be shorter. Jordan said he’s given extended time to senators and representatives in the past.

“He’s neither,” Plaskett said.

“I’m just saying in past history.”

“If you want to cut him off and censor him some more, you’re welcome to do it!” Jordan added to a round of applause.

“Oh, that’s not my job. That’s your job,” Plaskett said. “Why don’t you threaten a witness so that they can just not want to be a witness?”

Jordan then recognized RFK. Jr. for his opening statement.
