President Joe Biden used Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ criticism of Donald Trump in a post-debate attack ad Thursday morning.
“And you know who else is missing in action? Donald Trump is missing in action,” the ad opens, using one moment during Wednesday night’s debate when DeSantis took a shot at the former president.

“He should be on this stage tonight. He owes it to you to defend his record where they added $7.8 trillion to the debt. That set the stage for the inflation we have now,” the ad continues, using DeSantis’ criticisms of Trump.
“I’m Joe Biden, and I approve this message,” the ad concludes with a picture of Joe Biden smiling.
Despite being a distant second behind Trump in the polls, DeSantis is consistently polling above 10%.
The DeSantis and Trump teams have publicly sparred since DeSantis launched his campaign, and Trump took to Truth Social to criticize the Florida Governor.
“Thank you Ron DeSanctimonious,” Trump said as he posted a video of DeSantis praising Trump. “I just have confidence in President Trump,” DeSantis claimed in the video. “If there’s ever been one political figure, certainly a President, who has been tough on China… not just since he’s been a candidate and President, but for years and years, it’s him,” DeSantis concluded.
