The staff at Billboard released their list of the “500 Best Pop Songs” Thursday, and there are some glaring errors in their judgement.

There were so many iconic tunes missing from Billboard’s “500 Best Pop Songs” list, it’s hard to know where to start. Let’s begin with the badly-placed songs, such as Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much,” which should have been in the Top 50. Instead, Billboard placed it at #468.

Coming in with the nostalgia was Toni Basil’s “Mickey,” arguably one of the catchiest tunes of all time in the high 490s. J Balvin’s “Mi Gente” was also poorly placed at #459, despite it being one of the most recognizable songs written in the last 50 years.

And some disgusting little culture idiot put Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” at #443. If any song deserved to be in the Top 10, it would be this one.

Instead, these fools put “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen in the Top 10. These psychos put Jepsen before Prince, Britney, OutKast, Earth Wind & Fire and Beyonce!

But the largest criminal aspect of this entire list is whoever runs Billboard’s tech. Scrolling through the list was the most obnoxious and frustrating thing I’ve done with my computer for awhile, and I haven’t had a “K” key since 2020 … so, yeah, really annoying, guys. Get it together.

Due to the downright evil user interface, I couldn’t even figure out if Crazy Town’s “Butterfly” made it on there. If it didn’t, Billboard can shut up forever. (RELATED: Enjoy This List Of Rejected Vanity License Plate Applications)

The No.1 best pop song of all time? Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” And it is incredibly difficult to argue against this one. So, I’m just going to go listen to it and let y’all have a lovely weekend.
