The Massachusetts veteran who is wanted for allegedly murdering his wife while his four kids were in the house had the alleged killing all mapped out, according to an application for a criminal complaint and arrest warrant.

Air Force Veteran Aaron Pennington, 33, is allegedly still on the run after allegedly shooting his wife Breanne Pennington in the face at their family home in Gardner, Massachusetts, on Sunday, Law & Crime reported. Now, new records from a state police search on Pennington’s cell phone suggest the father planned the murder a day in advance in a note to himself.

“Don’t say anything. Be quite [sic] If she wakes up just say you’re getting nasal spray. Get on side of bed – very close proximity to head … Put hole in her head,” the note read, per the criminal complaint. Pennington’s children, whose ages range from 2 through 9-years-old, made their way to a neighbor’s house exclaiming “they could not find their father and that their mother was in her bedroom crying,” according to the criminal complaint. The neighbors then called 911.

First responders arrived at the residence to find Breanne Pennington lying in the couple’s bed with “obvious signs of death from an apparent gun shot wound to the head,” the complaint read.

Police said a neighbor’s surveillance camera captured the Air Force veteran leaving the neighborhood in a white BMW sedan Sunday, according to Law & Crime.

A hunter found the abandoned car Monday, Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early said at a Tuesday news conference.

“We are still treating this like he is alive and would be somewhere in the woods,” Early told the press.

Police suspect the couple was having issues with their marriage, and that Breanne had intentions to relocate to Texas with the children, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Person Of Interest Identified In Maine Mass Shooting)
