A Tweet shared Sunday detailed how a bizarre number of people think it’s weird the new House speaker doesn’t want his son watching porn.

Apparently Rolling Stone has a real itch for House Speaker Mike Johnson’s decision to put software on his family’s technological devices to deter porn access, as noted in a post by the outlet. But it turns out the headline the outlet used to describe the situation was not only misleading, but downright creepy and disgusting.

“Speaker of the House Mike Johnson admitted that he and his son monitored each other’s porn intake in a resurfaced clip from 2022,” Rolling Stone claimed. In reality, Johnson and his son use a software that exchanges an account of their weekly usage and browsing. His son has a completely clean slate, but Rolling Stone is taking it upon themselves to try and destroy his family and father’s career.

Johnson’s son also has to contend with responses from Rolling Stone’s headline, in which users are casually talking about his underage sex life. A follow-up post from writer Megan Basham revealed a series of screenshotted tweets where people clearly hadn’t read the article, so they jumped on Johnson for being a bad dad. Johnson is clearly a great father who wants to protect his children from the type of garbage and violence spewed online. And Rolling Stone wrote an article about a child and pornography … so, who is on the wrong side of history here?
