Former President Donald Trump increased his lead over President Joe Biden by 2 points from the previous month in a 2024 hypothetical rematch, according to a Wednesday poll.

Trump is leading Biden 47% to 43% — up from 47% to 45% in October — with 10% remaining undecided, according to an Emerson College poll. The former president’s margin of victory widens further to 6 points with independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, as well as Green Party candidate Jill Stein, on the ballot, who all received 7%, 1% and 1% support, respectively.

“Last November, Biden led Trump by four points, whereas this November, he trails Trump by four,” Spencer Kimball, executive director at Emerson College Polling, said in a statement. “Several key groups have shifted in the past year: Biden led at this time last year among women by seven points, which has reduced to a point this year.” (RELATED: Trump Widens Lead Over Biden In New 2024 Poll)

Support for Biden among minorities has also plummeted by a total of 26 points since November 2022, according to the poll. The president has lost his footing among younger Americans, including a 13-point decrease in support from those under 50, as well as a 16-point lag in the “four-year college graduates” group.

Another recent survey, conducted by The Messenger/HarrisX and released Tuesday, found Trump had widened his lead against Biden. The former president increased his margin of victory from 2 points to 7 points since an earlier version of the poll was published on Nov. 1.

The survey also found that nearly half of Trump voters said they were “very excited” about the upcoming election at 46%, compared to only 29% of Biden voters who said the same. Biden’s approval rating remains low at 38%, while 50% disapprove of the president’s job performance.

“The president’s disapproval has stayed the same this month, while his approval has dropped four points,” said Kimball. “The president’s approval is the lowest it has been this calendar year, but similar to what it was this time last year when his approval was at 39%.”

Trump also increased his lead in the Republican primary by 5 points, bringing his support to 64%, while no other GOP hopeful eclipsed double digits, according to the poll. For a Democratic primary, Biden received 66% support, followed by self-help author Marianne Williamson with 5% and Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota with 2%, with 27% of voters remaining undecided.

The Emerson College survey polled 1,475 registered voters nationwide from Nov. 17 to Nov. 20 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5%.
