More than 100 people across northwestern Europe reported a massive fireball meteor Saturday.
Some 126 reports were issued to the International Meteor Organization (IMO) following a blue-green fireball meteor that streaked across the skies around 2:07 a.m. Saturday. Dozens of people filed videos of the event with the IMO, some of which were shared online elsewhere, and they’re pretty epic.
One clip shows the giant burning ball of rock hurling itself over what appears to be a row of garages, either somewhere in England or France, as it pours with rain. And yes, American friends, these white shed-like structures are what most Europeans consider a garage, and they’re a luxury.

Another video from a Nest doorbell camera showed the meteor flying over London. The meteor doesn’t seem to burn out and just disappears off into the distance, almost like a UFO as it doesn’t seem to burn out. This is likely due to the angle and direction of the camera, but it was still pretty cool to watch.

People reported seeing the fireball at least 1.5 seconds, but some said it lasted up to 3.5 seconds. A majority of the reports came from Wales, England and France. (RELATED: Video Shows Massive Fireball ‘The Size Of A Car’ Light Up The Southern Skies)
A fireball meteor is a name given to particularly bright objects often seen over a large area, according to NASA. These space rocks are often too small to survive entry through Earth’s atmosphere, but some fragments can land and be found on the ground.
