Hoover Institute senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson warned Thursday on Fox News about the impacts of the “destroyed” federal immigration law, which he blamed on President Joe Biden.

Hanson appeared on “Hannity” to discuss his reaction to states such as Texas and Florida putting up preventative measures as the influx of illegal immigrants entering the country continues. The senior fellow began by slamming the federal government for allowing “8 million” people, some of whom are from the “most violent places in the world,” into the U.S., stating that there is no care for Americans who have been killed by illegal immigrants.

Hanson continued to state that Democrats continued to push the issue because they feel “protected” behind places that the immigration policies don’t affect, noting if they begin to “alienate” their base they’ll immediately shut down the border. (RELATED: Eric Adams Slammed By Community Note After Calling New York ‘Port-Au-Prince Of America’)

“Well, I think we’re getting back to every man for himself, every state for themselves. There is no federal immigration law, Biden destroyed it. It shows you how desperate they are to do something stupid to let 8 million people in from some of the most violent places in the world. And why are they doing it, Sean? I guess the prime directive is to get future constituencies, who under mail-in balloting, may be of value. They figure that to make this beautiful diverse DEI omelet they have to break a few eggs, unfortunately, like Laken Riley or Kate Steinle, whom they just consider collateral damage,” Hanson stated.

“They don’t really care about these people who were tragically killed, harmed, or maimed. They feel they’re going to be protected, Sean, they have the money, the influence, the zip codes that these policies will never lap up on their shores. The final irony, really quickly, is if they bring all of these people in and as they are located in the barrio, in the intercity, in the East Palestine, Ohio, and working-class communities they’re going to alienate a lot of people. And if they alienate their base they’ll close the border in one second cause they don’t have any principles other than the retention of power.”

In anticipation of an influx of Haitian immigrants fleeing to the U.S. due to their country’s continual gang violence, Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis deployed “additional state assets to the Keys and southern waters of the State of Florida.” DeSantis stated in a press release that he directed the Division of Emergency Management, the Florida State Guard, and state law enforcement agencies to deploy 250 additional officials to protect their state’s borders.
