Emily is the co-founder of Envallo, a business development and communications firm for investors and high-growth startups.<br /> <br /> She graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Communication, and was a Distinguished Military Graduate from the UNH Army ROTC program. While a student, she led two activism groups, which involved booking and promoting speaking engagements, fundraising, and organizing conference trips to Washington, DC. In addition, she trained one weekend a month as cadet in the NH Army National Guard and completed two military leadership training courses. She earned several accolades during her tenure at UNH, including the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the Communication Department and the Daughters of the American Revolution Defense Award for outstanding service in the ROTC program.<br /> <br /> Upon her graduating and commissioning as an officer in the Army National Guard, Emily moved to the Washington, DC area to work as a media and social outreach intern for a political non-profit, Young Americans for Liberty. When the internship concluded, she accepted a job as the press secretary to U.S. Representative Justin Amash, and learned important lessons about political culture and the power of context within the narrative of the mainstream media.<br /> <br /> Concurrently, Emily served in the Washington, DC National Guard, completing several assignments beyond her training as a human resources officer. Her accomplishments in the DC National Guard include creating a comprehensive antiterrorism plan for the state’s Joint Force Headquarters and developing tactical plans that were employed during a natural disaster.<br /> <br /> In 2013, she moved back to her home state of NH to pursue independent communications consulting. Her clients have included a security software firm, an independent military film festival, and the Griffiss Institute, a tech transfer organization for the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY.<br /> <br /> After years of experience volunteering for political campaigns, Emily ran for state representative in Bedford, NH. She quickly earned name recognition through grassroots campaigning and was within four votes of securing a nomination from her party.<br /> <br /> Emily currently serves as a public affairs officer for a field artillery unit on part-time basis. Recently, she joined the board of directors for the NH chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
