AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Chrysler Group LLC said Tuesday its 2009 sales fell 36 percent and December sales fell 4 percent.
BY THE NUMBERS: Sales fell to 86,523 vehicles in December from 89,813 in the same month the previous year. In all of 2009, total sales fell to 931,402 vehicles from 1.5 million.
THE DIVISIONS: In December, car sales rose 31 percent to 26,830 while truck sales fell 14 percent to 59,693. For all of 2009, car sales fell 44 percent to 228,685 and truck sales fell 33 percent to 702,717.
HOT MODELS: The company said its 2010 Ram Heavy Duty pickup truck was awarded Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year award in December.
