SOUTHPORT, Conn. (AP) — Gun maker Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc. said Tuesday it named executives at hockey equipment maker Bauer and manufacturer Terex to its board.
Sturm Ruger directors voted to increase the board to nine members, then appointed Amir P. Rosenthal and Phillip C. Widman to terms that began Monday.
Rosenthal is the chief financial officer of Bauer Hockey Inc. and had held executive jobs including CFO and general counsel at Katy Industries and was treasurer and senior counsel at Timex Corp. and chairman of its Timex Watches subsidiary.
Widman is senior vice president and CFO at Terex Corp., a manufacturer of equipment used in construction and other industries. He is also on the board of Lubrizol Corp. and was CFO of Philip Services, an industrial outsourcing company and CFO at ABB Inc.
Sturm Ruger, with headquarters in Southport, makes rifles, shotguns and pistols under the Ruger name.
Shares rose 21 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $10.45 in afternoon trading.
