NEW YORK (AP) — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market:

Health Management Associates Inc., up 47 cents at $7.98

An analyst upgraded the hospital operator<s stock on its impressive 2010 profit and revenue forecasts.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., down 67 cents at $14.82

An analyst said the tire maker's cash balance in Venezuela could sink after President Hugo Chavez announced a currency devaluation.

Wyndham Worldwide Corp., up $1.75 at $22.19

An analyst upgraded the hotel operator and raised his price target on the company<s appealing stock price and free cash flow strategy.

Hershey Co., down $1.14 at $36.61

Hershey is assembling a solo bid to acquire British candymaker Cadbury PLC without help from Italian candymaker Ferrero International.

Merck & Co., up $1.38 at $38.93

A Credit Suisse analyst upgraded the drugmaker<s stock and said shares could rise as Wall Street takes a closer look at its pipeline.

Google Inc., down $3.39 at $587.09

Rival Yahoo Inc. said in a statement that it supports Google's threatened departure from China because of hacking.
