And not just for the obvious merit-based reasons. No, you shouldn’t read this blog because whenever I state a political opinion, I don’t automatically link to somebody who disagrees with me.
Not only is doing so a good idea, according to Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein — wait, sorry, I mean Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Cass Sunstein — but it’s such a good idea that it should be mandated by the government:
For example, if I said, “Obama’s policies are a bunch of horse doo-doo,” I would need to link to somebody who believes Obama’s policies are actually the excrement from an entirely different kind of animal. A dog, for example, or perhaps a bull. That seems fair enough. What’s the big deal, wingnuts?
