It’s wrong to lie about people you disagree with in an attempt to silence them
You and I know that, but apparently Keach Hagey at Politico doesn’t, among others. The reaction to what Spencer Ackerman said isn’t about the political leanings of Journolist members. (Yeah, they were all liberals. Nobody’s claiming that’s news. That was the whole point of the list.) The reason people are upset about what Spencer Ackerman said is that he advocated libel and slander to shut up those who were criticizing someone he wanted to see elected. More importantly, people are upset about the other Journolisters who stood by idly while something like that was advocated.
Just thought that was worth pointing out.
