Yeah, about that? The surgery is called an osteochondral allograft, and it involves transplanting cartilage and bone from a cadaver to repair the damaged area. There’s a 22-day window where the transplant tissue is still usable, and much of that is taken up by screening it for diseases. My surgeon thought he had a good match and we were on schedule, but the other day he called and said it didn’t pass the screening. So my surgery on Monday has been postponed. Now we’re going to try for the first week of December. There’s really no way to predict it, but he says I’m at the top of the list.
