Hello. I’m still alive. As you may know, I’m temporarily disabled by a knee injury — if you call not being able to walk for one year as of next Thursday “temporary” — and I’ve been working from home. Unfortunately, my cable Internet has been down since the snow hit Wednesday night. My cable company says they’re working on it, but the whole city is affected and they have no idea when it’ll be fixed. I don’t want to call them out, but let’s just say their languid response to this complete service outage is giving them a Really Crappy Name.
My iPhone is still working, my only link to the outside world, so I tried to tether it to my laptop. Which is easy enough, if you have iOS 4. I don’t, not realizing I needed it. No problem, all I have to do is plug my phone into my laptop and download the new operating system via iTunes. Oh wait, I don’t have any Internet. Hello? Is that you, Yossarian?
Now it’s snowing again. I can’t go outside. I can’t blog from this phone (I e-mailed this to Riggs, and I’m assuming he posted it). My thumbs are cramping up from typing on this thing for two days. Yes, I am whining and you can just deal with it. The point is, I don’t know when regular blogging will resume and it’s not my fault.
Thanks for caring, presumably.
