Many suspect that France’s first lady Carla Bruni, who shields her stomach with a shawl when photographers approach, is expecting a child. The former model kept the mystery alive in a recent interview she did with Le Parisien in which she refused to confirm or deny her pregnancy.
“If I may, I will not answer all these familial questions. I have a little boy, too, and I do not answer questions about him,” Bruni said. “Why don’t I answer? I’ll tell you. Nearly 180 percent of the time my husband is occupied by his country. He speaks only about that, he only does that, he is obsessed with it…I’m mum to protect something and to protect all of the work he does.”
Unlike the popular French-Italian singer, many celebrities have publicly announced their pregnancies. “Mad Men” bombshell January Jones will welcome her first child this fall, “Greek” actress Spencer Grammer is reportedly going to be a mother as well, and “Cruel Intentions” star Selma Blair is expecting a baby.
