Less than 24 hours after a golden night for U.S. women’s soccer, the national league announced it’s shutting down for this season.
On Sunday night, the U.S. women’s national team pounded Canada 4-0 to win its Olympic qualifying tournament in Vancouver. Abby Wambach moved up to No. 2 all-time in goals scored with two against the Canadians in front of a sold-out crowd of 25,427 at BC Place.
