Clooney bringing out the big guns — literally — for Obama fundraiser

In preparation for tonight’s fancy-pants fundraiser at George Clooney’s Los Angeles home for President Obama, security is so tight it might as well be in the same place John Travolta keeps his little black book.

Not only will there be private security for the Cloonster, the Secret Service, bomb-sniffing dogs, the Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol will all be on hand to protect the $40,000 per ticket party.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the LAPD’s Counter Terrorist Unit is also monitoring the event. Airspace above Clooney’s palatial spread is also thought to be occupied with security; so if you were planning on crashing a Hollywood party, tonight is not the night to try it.

150 special guests will nosh on celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s culinary creations as the president butters up Hollywood heavyweights. The Obama administration is getting so cozy in Tinseltown, it should just go ahead and build a summer home there.
