Two Mirage 2000 fighter jets shattered the windows of the Supreme Court and congressional buildings in Brazil on Sunday, The Aviationist reported.

The jets flew low to the ground at supersonic speeds to celebrate “the ceremony of the exchange of the national flag,” without anticipating possible damage.

The Brazilian Air Force will reimburse the losses and has begun an investigation, according to a statement released by the chief of the Center for Social Communication of the Brazilian Air Force.
