TheDC Street View: Money, money, money

The Daily Caller wandered the National Mall asking Washingtonians and tourists what concerned them more: how Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney spends his own money, or how President Barack Obama spends theirs.

While Democratic partisans have attacked Romney for not releasing ten years of his tax returns, most of the people we interviewed cared more about how Obama spent their money. Some praised his performance during the past three and one-half years, and others said his recent decision to send Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government $1.5 billion was made in good faith.

Few said they cared more about how Romney spent his millions, but one woman was concerned that he was unqualified to be president, citing his gig as CEO at Bain Capitol as his only job.

Romney was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007. In 1999 he took the helm of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics organizing committee.
