Nice country ya got there. Be a shame if somethin’… happened to it. Somethin’ even worse.

Well, how thoroughly convincing.
Hey, did the past month actually happen? Didn’t we find out that the IRS has been singling out Tea Party groups for audits? Didn’t we discover that the Justice Dept. has been spying on reporters who cover stories the DOJ would rather they didn’t? Hasn’t it become difficult to separate out all the details of all the different scandals going on right now, to the point where they all just coalesce into one big lump of corruption called “the Obama administration”?
Because if all that stuff was just a hoax or a dream or an imaginary story, then I guess I can believe President Barack Obama when he says this NSA thing is totally above-board. I can trust him when he says we have nothing to worry about, and these fine public servants — who quite literally work for us — would never abuse our private information for any reason.
The more likely explanation is that Obama is a damn liar, as usual. I think I’ll go with that one.
If you’ve arrived at a different conclusion somehow, I’d be interested in your reasoning process. Should be good for a laugh.
Neil Munro has more on this guy’s bull$#!+.
Update: Courtesy of Ace, here’s Barack Obama back in 2007.
Whoops. Never mind.
