Hockey can always be counted on for three wonderful things: beer, jokes about Canadians and fist fights. Luckily all those glorious things are back with a vengeance, despite it only being the preseason.
The Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t disappoint in Sunday’s game, racking up a total of 41 penalties and three individual fist fights, reports the Bleacher Report. The Leafs’ Jamie Devane and the Sabres’ Corey Tropp started things off with a solid fight, leading to Tropp hitting his head on the ice.
Later, Buffalo’s John Scott attempted to fight Toronto’s Phil Kessel. Not to be left out, the goalies, Ryan Miller and Jonathan Bernier, also exchanged blows in the third period. The Leafs ended up winning 5-3, but with this type of fighting, we were all winners.
