For the second time this year, Apple unveiled a product without sharing a release date. The Mac Pro was the first and it still doesn’t have a firm launch date. Apple’s second-generation iPad mini with Retina display was the second and like the Mac Pro, it still doesn’t have an official release date either; all we know for certain is that the tiny tablet will be released sometime in November. According to Target’s website, however, Apple’s new iPad mini is set to debut on November 21st — a Thursday — which would give the tablet a full week on store shelves before Black Friday. Supporting the supposed launch date is the fact that Target is an official Apple retail partner and the fact that the listing on its site was discovered Wednesday night and still hasn’t been taken down. It has been a while since Apple debuted a mobile product on a Thursday though, so we’ll have to wait until Apple gives the official word before we know for certain. When it does finally launch, Apple’s Retina iPad mini will start at $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model.
