Researchers at Johns Hopkins explained in a recent study how the iSight webcam built into Apple Macbooks can be hacked to spy on users without their knowledge.

The Washington Post reports the technique was recently used to spy on and take nude pictures of Miss Teen U.S.A. Cassidy Wolf by one of her classmates, Jared Abrahams, who pleaded guilty in October.

As of now the only models reportedly at risk have been pre-2008 Macbooks, but researchers Matthew Brocker and Stephen Checkoway speculate newer models can be used in much the same way.
