After teasing fans with a shrouded image of a Batmobile with the cryptic caption, “Could be time to pull the tarp…Tomorrow?”, “Batman vs. Superman” director Zack Snyder followed through Tuesday with the first full image of Ben Affleck in costume standing next to the Batmobile.

At first glance the new Batmobile looks like a cross between Christopher Nolan’s “tumbler” from “The Dark Knight” trilogy and Tim Burton’s iconic Batmobile from 1989’s “Batman.”
The new Batsuit, meanwhile, bears a strong resemblance to Frank Miller’s 1986 graphic novel “The Dark Knight Returns,” which draws parallels to Snyder’s new film by featuring what is rumored to be an older, semi-retired Batman.
The tentatively titled “Batman vs. Superman” will be the sequel to Snyder’s 2013 “Man of Steel” Superman reboot, and is scheduled to land in theaters May 2016.
