Two freighter ships filled with cargo containers collided at the north end of the Suez Canal on Monday, according to a Business Insider report.
The 1,059-foot Motor Vessel Colombo Express was speeding ahead of the 1,085-foot Motor Vessel Maersk Tanjong when the Colombo Express suddenly made a hard turn to port and slammed into the starboard side of the Maersk Tanjong, dumping three containers from the Express and leaving a 65-foot dent in its hull.

The Maersk Tanjong was exiting the canal to join a convoy, which has been delayed as a result of the accident.
