Democratic Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth told Larry King Thursday that the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination is “Hillary’s for the asking.”
“I think it’s Hillary’s for the asking,” Yarmuth told Larry King in an interview to be broadcast on King’s Ora TV talk show Thursday night.
“She was here last Wednesday night for Alison Lundergan Grimes,” Yarmuth said, “An incredibly enthusiastic crowd. I think Hillary would carry Kentucky in a primary, and if she asks me to endorse her, I will endorse her. I love Elizabeth Warren, but I think Hillary will be the nominee.”
Clinton has been gaining steam on the midterm campaign trail. The former first lady and secretary of state made headlines this week at a rally for Democratic Sen. Mark Udall, where she declared, “Women’s rights here at home and around the world are clearly at risk.”
