Students in Harlem thought Elsa from “Frozen” was visiting their school, and instead all they got was measly Kate Middleton.
Because every waking moment of the Royal Couple’s trip to New York this week has been documented, it was noted that Kate Middleton disappointed a bunch of the three- and four-year-old students Monday simply by being Kate Middleton, and not the Disney princess Elsa from “Frozen.”
The Duchess of Cambridge just wasn’t royal enough for the kids of Harlem, who reportedly cheered, “Princess!” when Middleton walked in the door.
The director of early childhood services at the Northside Center for Child Development, Rose Ann Harris, said the disappointment came because the kids were expecting a blue-eyed blonde cartoon character. Ya know, the one that made over $400 million in the box office.
“When they heard she was coming they thought it was Elsa,” Harris said.
“We said a Princess and they got a Princess.”
Well, technically she’s a duchess, Rose. (RELATED: Oh My God, LeBron James Put His Arm Around Kate Middleton A Lot)
