The struggling Toronto Raptors traveled to the City of Brotherly Love on Monday to face-off against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Toronto had found itself on the losing end of its last five contests, but 35 points from DeMar DeRozan helped the Raptors end that skid. DeRozan’s best scoring night of the year was capped off by a rim-rattling, one-handed reverse game near the end of the fourth quarter.

In a post-game interview, DeRozan commented on how Monday’s match-up was a must win scenario for the team. ”It didn’t matter who we got this win against, we understood we just needed to get this win. We had to get that confidence back.”

Hopefully for Toronto, the confidence the team gained from Monday’s victory will be enough to make the Raptors forget about this dud from last week and make a run at the playoffs.
