Marvel dropped the second TV spot for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” Thursday and took fans through a roll call of Earth’s mightiest heros, all of whom are set to return to the big screen May 1.
Thursday’s spot gives fans the longest look yet at two of the team’s new additions — “Scarlet Witch” and “Quicksilver,” the (spoiler alert) children of longtime X-Men foe Magneto.
Noticeably absent from the trailer is “The Vision” — an android created by Ultron, who eventually goes on to join the Avengers in Marvel’s comic book universe. The Vision will be portrayed by actor Paul Bettany in the upcoming sequel.
Marvel’s last Avengers trailer garnered an impressive 35 million views in 24 hours after it was released earlier this month, indicating the sequel to the third highest-grossing film of all time will have an impressive showing at the box office when it releases later this summer.
