Phyllis Jefferson, a 50-year-old Ohio woman, was arrested in Akron, Ohio, on Sunday after stabbing her boyfriend multiple times for “eating all of the salsa” they had been snacking on.

NBC affiliate, WKYC, reported that local authorities found 61-year old Ronnie Bucker bleeding outside of his house on Sunday afternoon.

Apparently, Bucker and Jefferson had been snacking on chips and salsa while watching television together. The couple began to argue over who was eating all of the salsa. After some bickering, Jefferson stabbed Bucker in the pelvis region with a pen.

Jefferson then got up and tried to knock the television over onto the floor. Bucker grabbed the television and stopped it from falling. While Bucker was holding the television, Jefferson darted into the kitchen, grabbed a small kitchen knife, and stabbed Bucker in the stomach.

Jefferson then hopped into a vehicle and fled the scene before police could arrive. Authorities later stopped her on Interstate-77. She was taken into custody and booked at the Summit County Jail on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging.

Bucker was taken to Akron General Medical Center to get his wounds treated. None of his injuries were life threatening.
