It appears torturing and murdering an entire family can take a lot out of a person, because police were able to identify a suspect in the gruesome quadruple murder of a D.C. family after the killers ordered a pizza from Domino’s.

Police said they were able to match DNA found on a pizza crust with that of Daron Wint, a 34-year-old man from Maryland, The Washington Post reported.

Wint ordered two pizzas from a Domino’s in the northwest D.C. neighborhood the night of May 13, while he was holding the victims hostage and before he allegedly burned their house down the following day.

Police think the killers held the four victims for nearly 10 hours before they got Savvas Savopoulos, 46, to give them $40,000 in cash.

According to WUSA9, Savopoulos’ assistant left a package with the money at the house just hours before the house was set on fire and the family was found beaten and stabbed to death.

When authorities arrived, the money and the suspected killer were gone, along with a 2008 Porsche that was owned by Savopoulos. Police found the car later that day in the parking lot of a Maryland church. It had been set on fire, as well.

During that time, police told WUSA9 that the kidnappers tortured Savopoulos’s 10-year-old son, Philip, in an effort to force him to cough up the cash.

Police have not yet divulged if they believe Wint had a motive to murder Savopoulos, his son, his wife, Amy, and the couple’s housekeeper.

Savvas was a corporate executive at American Iron Works, a Maryland-based building materials manufacturer, and his wife was very active in Washington society and fundraising circles.
